Sunday Riley Artemis Oil

Sunday Riley.  Face oils.  Do you know?  I hope you do!  If you don’t, let me introduce you!

If you have heard of Sunday Riley, you’ve probably heard of their product with a cult following: Juno Oil.  I love this oil, and have put many of my clients and friends on it, and have seen amazing changes within their skin.

Many people are afraid of oils because they think it’s going to make their skin oily.  This is actually a myth.  Using oil improves the skin on SO MANY LEVELS.

Many oils are potent antioxidants. They are great to apply in the morning, wait two minutes, and then apply your sunscreen or foundation as usual. They help improve skin intolerance. Many oils can help to prevent irritation, and/or soothe irritation. They plump the skin!  Typically in your 30’s skin’s natural oils decrease and wrinkles can look deeper. Because oils are lipophilic, or fat loving, they pass though the lipid layer of the skin faster, preventing water loss and plumping skin with moisture more effectively. They help with better absorption. If you apply an oil before your anti-aging cream, the oil molecules behave like tiny Trojan horses, tricking the skin into letting active ingredients—like retinol, glycolic acid, and vitamin C—deeper into the skin and closer to the collagen-producing fibroblasts, all without irritating the surface. (Information from Dermatologist David Colbert, founder of Colbert M.D. Skincare.)

Oils are just amazing.  That’s the truth.  I have seen such a huge shift a year ago when I started using oils, and I am so glad I did!  I also have had friends that had such dry, irritated skin, and within 2 days saw improvements so it really excites me to share this info with you!

I have tried a lot of oils, and the first oil I ever used was the Artemis Oil from Sunday Riley.  It was love at first drop!  This oil is beautiful.  It’s a complexion-balancing blend of clarifying, toning, and detoxifying oils for a clean and healthy glow.  Here’s more:

A sparkling, bright, lemon-scented serum which helps balance the complexion while providing clarifying and toning benefits. An essential oil complex of Australian medicinal plants, Lemon Ironbark and Lemon Myrtle provide anti-inflammatory, purifying, and cleansing support to the skin. Milk thistle seed oil, black cumin seed oil, and pink grapefruit essential oil help fight redness and premature aging caused by toxins and inflammation. Balanced with super CLA from pomegranate and Omega 3 from flax seed for a “clean, healthy glow from within.”

I don’t know how I ended up with the Artemis Oil since the popular choice would have been Juno, but I have to tell you that sometimes the “non popular kids” don’t get the credit they deserve.  This oil has changed my skin.  My skin is smoother, my pores are smaller, it feels totally hydrated but not greasy, and I have an amazing glow.

I have another thing to admit: I got off track about 6 months ago when I ran out and didn’t replenish, and ended up trying some other oils in the meanwhile.  I just got a fresh bottle of Sunday Riley’s Artemis last week, and I can tell you in one week’s time I have seen such significant improvements in my skin.  Wow, big claim, eh?  But it’s the truth.  I have been using 3 drops in the morning (yes ONLY  three), and three drops in the evening, and my skin has been looking and feeling SO GOOD!

I love this oil.  I love the Juno Oil too.  And I just love face oils.  If you haven’t tried one, I challenge you to do it! Xx
