I recently discovered a new eyeliner that I wanted to share with you: Stila Got Inked Cushion Eye Liner!

I’ll admit, when I first opened the package, I was both curious and nervous to try. It reminded me of a stamp pad I used to use when I was a teenager. Could it possibly work as an eyeliner? Here’s the skinny:

Sweep on tight lines to cat eyes with stila’s Got Inked™ Cushion Eye Liner. A lightweight, yet richly-pigmented liquid liner, color is dispensed through a one-of-a-kind, cushion sponge soaked in color. With a full range of dazzling shades—from flat to metallic finishes—it can be expertly applied with the custom designed La Quill Precision Eye Liner Brush (sold separately), which simply dips into the sponge like a calligraphy pen and draws across the lid in a slow, smooth, fluid motion. From day-to-night, the long-wearing formula stays put, leaving eyes looking effortlessly chic.

As you can see, it comes in six AMAZING colors, and I have to tell you that this product is really great! All you have to do is dip the brush into the cushioned pad, and it glides on the eye just like a pen. It didn’t catch or expand, it simply drew the line exactly where I placed the brush. Easier than I expected!

You can use this to create really tight lines, or let it grow to whatever shape cat eye your heart desires. I love that there is a variety of tones to choose from. I am not always a hard black eyeliner girl, so to be able to wear a color with a little metallic or softness compared to black is always a bonus for me. In these photos I’m wearing the color Copper.

I love the La Quill brush that is suggested to be used with this product, but honestly any eyeliner brush will do the trick. The difference, however, in this brush is that it is nice and pointed for perfect precision, and it is a little firmer to be able to have better control.

This product to me feels very different than your standard liquid eyeliner. It’s softer and has less “liquid”, but still delivers the pigment that you need to create beautiful lines. It is so much easier to use, and I’m excited to have a new medium of product to add to my kit. It’s made me start to use and play with eyeliner again, because I was in a phase of not wearing it so much. (I think it’s because of the tones of colors….they really nailed it!)

Anyways, I just wanted to share this new discovery with you, and I hope it’s something that you maybe have been curious about or never seen before, so I could educate you more about it. If you are bored with your usual cat-eye….I challenge you to try with these colors…it will make you enjoy doing your makeup!

Cheers to a New Year and cheers from Sicily, where I’m currently on Holiday! May your 2016 be your best, and I can’t wait to share it with you! XOXO
