I have been getting SO many compliments on my eyeshadow lately.  I owe it all to this new palette I picked up a few weeks ago at my local drugstore!  It was one of my casual trips that I mentioned, where I go in for one item and end up with a bag full of new makeup.  I like to check for new products every time I go in, and sometimes I find a bunch, and other times I don’t find one thing.

I got lucky on this particular day, and came home with this new palette.  I have worked in the past with the artistic director of Milani Cosmetics, and he is such a talented artist.  He told me that he helped develop a lot of the products, and I knew with how much passion and talent that he had, that he would help develop a very user friendly and reliable brand.  Every product I have tried out from Milani Cosmetics has really impressed me, along with this new shadow I just picked up!

I had to share this with you because I really love it!  It’s a palette of four eyeshadows, that are called Fierce Foil Eyeshines.  The texture is interesting.  They feel almost creamy/wet, but glide on and stay put once they are set.  The palette I picked up is called Milan, and I love the tones of all four eyeshadows.  I’ve been using the darkest copper a lot, and honestly I get asked what shadow I’m wearing every time I have it on!

I love how Milani described these palettes, so I have to share:

This isn’t a shadow, it’s a shine. This extraordinary eye-enhancing, game-changing gloss can be swept on bare lids. Just tap the applicator onto the color and glide over the eye, starting close to the lashline. From there, simply blend and build with the applicator or your fingertip. In fact, it’s so easy to get glowing with this gloss, your hardest task will be picking a palette. Available in four shade quartettes named for Italy’s starriest, most beloved cities, the lineup includes Milan (soft pinks and taupes), Rome (a pack of rich lavenders and purples), Florence (think copper, bronze, gold) and Venice (icy white and cool blues). Sexy and glamorous, but an effortless addition to your makeup routine, Fierce Foil Eyeshine is runway inspired, “real way” designed.

Because of the texture of this shadow (big surprise) I’ve been applying the lid color with my fingers.  I use one finger to apply, and the other dry finger to blend.  I’ve been wearing it on the bottom too, and use a small eyeliner brush (like this one from Tweezerman) to smudge into my lower lash line.  Then I like to play with the other colors.  Usually with the two lighter colors, I will choose one for the day and use it as a highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes.

As you can see, there are little flecks of sparkle in this shadow, almost like foil.  It’s SOOOOO pretty when it catches the light.  You can definitely mix and match and use all four, or one individually depending on your mood.  Whatever you choose, you cannot go wrong because they have a special glow to them.

As mentioned earlier, there are four palettes in this collection.  They are all so beautiful it was hard to choose.  Want to know what else is amazing?  They retail for only $9.99!  I think these are almost identical to Stila’s Magnificent Metals Eyeshadow, but at half the price….and I love that you don’t have to mix with another product.

So I’m excited, and had to share.  Make sure you keep your eyes out for these the next time you are in the drugstore, and you will be thanking me for the tip!  I’m also going to link them below for you below, in case you can’t wait!  I hope you are all enjoying the last weekend of summer, I have been stuck with a cold, and trying to get better!  I am headed to New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, so I will have plenty of exciting updates for you.  I will be working a little backstage and reporting at some shows, as well as working with my dear Chiara Ferragni and designing all of her hair and makeup looks for her time in New York.  Can’t wait, and I hope you enjoy following along.  This palette is for sure coming with me, and I might be headed to the store tomorrow to pick up the other palettes in this collection!! XOXO
