Hotel Workout {Legs + Cardio}

Hola my friends from Spain!

As you have probably noticed, I’ve been on the road for a few weeks now in Europe.  I apologize for the lack of Snapchats and blog posts…..I haven’t had an easy time having the best internet connection….and let’s be honest, I also am truly trying to enjoy my adventure and not be “online” so much.

I just got into Spain last night and I am feeling a bit BLAH from being out of my normal routine of healthy food choices, my workout schedule, and sleep schedule.  I’m not sure if I’ve explained in the past, but I am a major routine girl and I start to feel a little uncomfortable when I’m not in my routine.  (Which is great in a lot of ways because being uncomfortable really pushes you and teaches you to be resourceful and creative!)  So Italy was all about the family dinners, and Paris is a little challenging to find an abundance of vegetables like we have in sunny California…..!  So needless to say I am trying to get back on track and feeling at my own personal best.  Not just by appearance, but how I actually feel on the inside.  Keeping a healthy lifestyle for me is what gives me a lot of energy and keeps me feeling positive and happy.

I decided to film myself this morning after my hotel room workout and give you an insight of what I’ve been doing lately on the road.  I started doing a workout plan from a 21 year old girl from Australia, named Kayla.  Someone had shown me her on Instagram, and I was so moved by all of the body transformations that I saw that I decided to give it a try.  So I have just started….I am only on week two, and this workout program is more about long term changes, not quick fixes….so I am counting on really seeing results around week 9-12.  (Yes I know that feels like forever, but remember….slow and steady wins the race and I want to build great healthy habits, strength, and muscles!)

Here’s a peek into a Legs + Cardio Day.

I explained the circuit in the video, but I will type it out too!

Circuit 1: 7 Minutes

15 Squats

24 Stationary Lunges

50 Jumps/or Jumprope Skips

24 Knee-Ups

(Do as many rounds in 7 Minutes as you can…..I usually get through it twice)

Circuit 2: 7 Minutes

24 Walking Lunges

15 Sumo Squats

24 Step Ups

50 Mountain Climbers

(Do as many rounds in 7 Minutes as you can…..I usually get through it twice)

So after you complete the second circuit, you repeat Circuit 1 and Circuit 2……for a total of 28 minutes of intense working out!

I am dripping sweat by the end, and really feel the burn!  I love that it is only 28 minutes of your life….fast, efficient, and you can do it from anywhere!  If you are looking to make changes in your life and body, I think this girl ROCKS!  I linked her above so you can check out for yourself!  Remember, even when traveling you can make time for yourself and your body.  It’s the best gift you can give yourself.  Now I’m going to do more exploring, but just wanted to check in and say hello, and share some of my personal workout tips with you!  XOXO
