Chiara Ferragni Shoe Campaign

It’s always a pleasure to shoot with one of my dear friends, Chiara Ferragni and her team.  Nothing beats working with some of your best friends and creating some magic through images.  We shot Chiara’s new Fall/Winter shoe campaign last month while we were in LA.  That too is fun for me to have the Italian crew in Los Angeles- because they bring such a different energy and excitement to the city.  I also end up going to places that I never go to because I take it for granted living there!

We shot the campaign at a very fun location- It’s called Nick Metropolis– and he’s the king of collecting!  You could spend a week at this location looking at all of the amazing things he has collected along the way.  It has the feel and taste of Old Hollywood, classic California, and everything in-between.  From quirky to collectors to anything in-between.  We had the talented Andrew Arthur behind the lens and styling the shoot was the beautiful Gilda Ambrosio. We like to call it the DREAM TEAM!  I love working with Chiara because I know her face, hair, and esthetic so well- and she trusts me to keep her looking her best so I have some creative freedom.

For this shoot I wanted to keep her looking fresh, glowing, and very California glam.  Lately I have been loving lining the inner rim of her lower wet line with a pearl colored eyeliner to really give her eyes a doll-like effect and keep them looking very big and open.  I think we achieved just that!

I love using this pencil from Diego Dalla Palma– It has the darker liner on the top that I can use to give a really natural cat eye, and the pearl liner on the other side that I can use on the lower wet line as I just mentioned.  It’s a go to use a lot- especially the pearl color!

These are just a few of my favorite images from the shoot- to see the rest, you can go here!  Enjoy! Xx
