The Lipstick Heel

Here’s the scene- a video in my new found favorite house in Milan.  It was a moment where I felt like I had instantly transported myself back to Los Angeles- leaving me feeling nostalgic and happy at the same time- two worlds collided!

I had the opportunity to collaborate with the stunning Eleonora Carisi, wearing the lipstick heel made by Alberto Guardiani.  Of course, it was love at first sight with this shoe- I mean, come on, a lipstick heel?!?!  For this video, directed by the talented Senio Zapruder, it was all about the interpretation of the personality behind the heel.  I’d say a little mysterious, sexy, and clever…. but that’s just my interpretation, what’s yours?

For Eleonora’s look- I gave her a glamorous classic wave with her hair- the kind that you can brush out and it still bounces right back into place.  I curled it first with a 1″ curling iron, then took a pass over each section with a smoothing iron, so the curls didn’t get too tight.  I also smoothed out the ends specifically so it wasn’t too curly on the bottom.

For the makeup, we kept the skin fresh, clean, and glowing. We added a few lashes to the eyes to really make them open and bright, and gave a classic red lip- using one of my favorite reds from Giorgio Armani.  (Lip Maestro in 400, The Red.)

Eleonora is such a stunner to me, and I was so glad I got to enhance her beauty for this fun project with Alberto Guardiani! Xx
