My Top 5 Health Tips

I wanted to take a break today from talking about fashion week or my latest favorite lipstick and talk about another passion of mine: HEALTH!  A lot of you guys have been asking lately for some tips and advice on health or how I incorporate healthy choices into my life, so I decided to make a video.

I will get deeper into it in the video, but I categorize my personal health into 5 categories: staying active, eating well, drinking a lot of water, getting a lot of sleep, and having healthy relationships.  With that being said, it’s all about BALANCE!

I also am a firm believer in beauty starting from within, especially with food choices, so that’s why I try to have a good balance and relationship with food, and keep it clean as much as possible.

Since getting home from New York last week, I jump started my health and am doing a four day cleanse with Beaming.  If you’ve read my blog for a while you know how huge of a fan I am of Beaming (I think they are the best ever) and how much I incorporate that into my life.  Most people diet and do cleanses before a big vacation which is great, but I actually prefer sticking to my normal healthy eating before a vacation, and cleansing when I get home.  Let me clarify really quick the word “cleanse” because I don’t want you to get confused with other diet fads or cleanse programs.  Beaming is “cleansing” but it is with whole foods and plant based proteins, and you actually still EAT!  That’s why I love it so much…..it’s giving my body a treat because I know that I am putting the healthiest/balanced ingredients into my body, but I am also feeling full and satisfied.  I truly feel like it gives my body such a re-boot and re-start, especially after coming off of a long week of traveling.  I think it’s inevitable when you travel that you are going to be a little out of my healthy routine.  It’s just the way it goes.  When traveling, you don’t have as easy access to a kitchen or the healthy spots you are used to, and you are also going to more dinners, parties, etc, etc.  I try to make healthier choices when I am traveling, but also accept the part that life is all about balance and there are times when you are going to indulge more, and times when you are going to be extra clean with your diet.  That’s why I always run to Beaming as soon as I get home!

Obviously a lot of you guys are not from LA so you don’t have my favorite place accessible to you, but take it as an example!  You may not even have the extra cash laying around to spend on a few days of a cleanse, but that’s ok too!  (Trust me, I’ve gotten creative with healthy eating and a little budget myself!)  I gave some advice in the video for healthy eating, and ways that help me.
