Let’s talk about EYELASHES…

Want to know what my eyelashes have been up to lately?  I’ll tell you a story, and I’ll try to keep it quick!

Eyelashes have been an obsession of mine since I can remember wearing makeup.  I never left home without mascara, and I had a deep relationship with my eyelash curler!  Reason being is that my lashes never felt long, so if I didn’t curl them they would stick straight out.

I clamped and curled my way through high school, with a sad tragedy of curling my eyelashes on the way to school and my dad hitting a bump while driving, which caused a section of my eyelashes to fall out, which resulted in me waking up early everyday to put individual false lashes in that missing section… (wait I said I was going to try to make this brief….!!)

Anyways, fast forward to mid-twenties and I’d like to take the claim to fame of getting eyelash extensions when they first came popular (woot woot) and had those for about 2.5 years.  I WAS OBSESSED.  I didn’t think I could ever see life past eyelash extensions.  Then my eyes started to grow an allergy towards the eyelash adhesive.  I’d finish my appointment, go to sleep, and wake up with crazy swollen eyes.  It was a very, very sad moment for me.  I kept on trying, thinking it was a fluke, but swollen eyes was always the result.  RIP Eyelash Extensions…

Luckily, I had heard many great things about eyelash serums, so I started right away as I was letting my eyelash extensions fall out.  A pretty seamless transition if you ask me.  As the old ones left, I was growing new lashes that were longer and thicker!  The ironic thing: nobody even knew that I stopped getting extensions done because the serum worked so well!  I also didn’t have to curl my lashes anymore because they had grown so much longer and had a natural curve on their own!  BONUS!

For the past five years I have used an eyelash serum.  In the first month of using, I was very religious about using it and would apply every night before bed, and then as they got to a great length I would only use it about 2-3 times a week.  It is one of my favorite products!  I had been using a product called Lilash, which is no longer available, so then the DRAMA of the eyelashes started again on what I was to do next.

I had about a 3 month break from eyelash serums, and I could see my lashes weren’t as long and luxurious as before.  So after all of that long story of my eyelash career, my whole point is to tell you I just got a new product that I’m trying and have been using for about a week.  It’s called Neu Lash.  I know it’s a little early to give a true report, but I will honestly say that after one week of using I can already see a difference.  That’s all I’m going to say for now, and I will report back to you in a few weeks to give you the real results!  I have heard really great reviews on this brand, so I’m excited to give it the true test!  I will leave you as well a little info on it below if you are curious, and let’s see what happens!  Let me know if you have any eyelash questions…..I AM THE QUEEN OF LASHES!  XOXO
