How To TOUCH-UP Second Day Hair!

….or third…..or fourth…..or fifth……!  We all know washing your hair everyday is a DRAG….who has time for that?!  My favorite thing is knowing that my hair doesn’t have to be washed so that I could just simply add a few curls and some dry shampoo and be out the door in five minutes flat!

I made this video for you to see how magical it is when you add in a few strategic curls with product.  It literally brings your hair back to life and it’s so easy to do!  This may be useful for hair that is naturally wavy but just needs a little more volume and curl at the top of the head.  I also think it’s important to know how to touch up the very front pieces around the hairline and in front of the ears.  I explain it all in the video!

NOW with that being said I do have to cover my bases on something: when I film these videos most of the time I don’t even have a big mirror or screen in front of me, so I can really only see a screen that is smaller than the size of an iPhone!  I noticed when watching back this video that I didn’t take enough time to get the dry shampoo completely blended in….WHOOPS!  So don’t judge me, I don’t leave the house with big white spots in my hair, but I still wanted to show you this video because that part doesn’t matter, what does matter is the technique on how to do this hairstyle.

Speaking of the dry shampoo, I wanted to show you a product that I haven’t used before in my videos.  It’s a dry shampoo called Batiste and you can find it on set in most hairstylists’ kits.  It’s an amazing dry shampoo that really absorbs any sort of oil BUT: as you can see in the video it does come out pretty white so you have to blend well to make sure you don’t leave any white residue in your hair.  You definitely have to weigh out that option with this product.  What’s awesome about it is that you can find it in most drugstores, and it’s very inexpensive.  Especially if you are addicted to this type of styling product, you know how fast you go through dry shampoos!

To curl my hair I’ve been using a 1″ curling iron from BaByliss Pro.  It’s a really amazing curling iron and it gets really hot, so it works quickly and really makes the curls hold.  I am using a smaller size iron because it allows me to take bigger sections and I can get more of a bend right at the roots.  What’s even more amazing about this curling iron is the price.  It comes in 1″, 1 1/4″, and 1 1/2″.  Believe it or not, they range only from $33-$45!  Can you even believe it?  I had no idea they were that inexpensive until I just looked them up! BONUS!  (I linked them for you!)

I hope you enjoy this quick tutorial….it saves my life every morning!  XO
