Fool-Proof way to apply a RED LIP!

Without realizing it, I realized that I had a technique that was a little different when applying a red lip.  I found myself naturally doing this on set whilst putting makeup on my models, and then also using the technique at home for myself.  I don’t know where or why I started doing this, but it totally makes sense and makes the process of doing a red lip so much easier!

(You can see just how I do it in this video, but it is a layering process that will make your lip and life SO much easier…..).

Also, this is a complete makeup look I had posted on Instagram, and had gotten a lot of comments asking for a tutorial for this look, SO HERE IT IS!  Thanks for the feedback, I always like creating things that you guys are requesting or craving to see, so make sure you always comment!

I think when wearing a red lip, it’s always flattering to go with more of a bronzed/copper/gold look on the eyes.  It warms things up, and doesn’t take away from the main focus, which is the lip.  Too much black, eyeliner, or smoke on the eyes can be a little bit too intense, and if we are sticking with a #effortlesschic appearance, this is the route to take!

I hope you all are enjoying your NEW YEAR!  2016 personally has been such a year of growth for me, and I’m grateful for all of the opportunities that have been brought my way.  One thing I have always had is a passion for what I do, and I’m glad that I can make my passion my profession.  Don’t stop going towards your dreams, and make sacrifices along the way to get to where you want to be.  If I look back at my life three years ago compared to where I am at personally and professionally now, I cannot believe how much has changed and how much I have grown.  I can say that I have grown so much because I was willing to put in the work.  Ego was put aside, and the willingness to say YES and take calculated risks is what it takes. Also treating others well, and remembering that I am always a lifelong learner.  Living in the space of gratitude will always create abundance, so don’t forget that too!  Thanks to all of you that check in with me via this blog, Instagram, or any of the other ways we stay connected these days, and I cannot wait to continue the journey with you into 2017.  I have a good feeling about this year, and I wish you all much health, wellness, joy, abundance, and passion.  Sending you SO MUCH LOVE!  XOXO
