Desert Wanderer

IMG_1478

Here we are, lost in the desert in Arizona.  (Well the real truth is that this particular desert was intertwined  between huge desert mansions…)!  Albi and I went for a drive and came across this great little desert landscape, and couldn’t help but get out of the car and explore.

How many of you are afraid of snakes?  I AM!  You could imagine that my exploring consisted of avoid any little holes I saw in the dirt for the fear that a big SCARY SNAKE would jump out!  I then have the little reminders that tell me that the snakes are probably just as afraid of me as I am of them!

On this day there was a lot of rain storms, so when we first started walking around it was raining, but lucky us the rain stopped, the sun came out, and we got to feast our eyes on these amazing clouds.  That is one thing I miss about living in Utah, they just don’t make clouds like this in LA.  I am also OBSESSED with desert landscapes, so the cactuses were blowing my mind.  I LOVE THEM!

The hat and poncho were two things I picked up from the Mexican Trading Post in Old Town Scottsdale, and the romper I picked up at a local California store called Heavenly Couture.  It’s basically a store that sells everything for $16….so when I’m in the area and need a quick fix, it’s the place to go!  I am actually wearing it backwards…I personally love a narrow deep V-neck and the romper fit me better with it backwards.  I know that’s random but it’s something I’ll do often with particular rompers and dresses….it seems to work out better sometimes!  I also am into fast fashion, so I love places like this where you can get a trend, but don’t have to spend a million dollars.  The shoes are from Forever 21.

I linked some similar rompers below and the shoes! How gorgeous is this place?  I’m so glad I got the chance to explore!  XO
