I realized that I have a lot of cleansers that have accumulated in my bathroom recently, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you guys and the why behind why I like them, why I choose to use them, and when I use them.
To start, I wash my face twice a day. Always before I go to bed NO MATTER WHAT, and in the morning when I wake up: whether that’s in the shower or if I skip a shower I will still always wash my face. I want to always make sure my skin is clean, prepped, and rid of any dirt, debris, or oil that may have accumulated.
I have a few different cleansers based on how my skin feels, looks, or what I think it needs. I give my face a quick diagnosis in the mirror and base it on that. Now trust me, you don’t need to be as crazy as I am, of course it helps that I get sent majority of my cleansers to try, so I have an abundance to sample. You can definitely have one cleanser that you choose and use both day and night, no problem!
Some things to think about when selecting your cleanser are what kind of consistency it will be i.e. foam, milk, cream, gel, exfoliating, oil, etc. Once you know what works best for you or your skin type, it will narrow down a bit what cleanser you decide to use.
Here’s some of my favorites:
We’ve got some gels, milks, exfoliators, and creams. I guess I like a little bit of everything! Here’s the breakdown on each:
– Dullness and uneven texture
– Loss of firmness and elasticity
This gentle cleanser removes makeup without causing irritation and hydrates for the look and feel of smooth, soft, and supple skin. Clinically tested for sensitive skin, the formula’s unique gel texture turns to a milk upon contact with water. It has no Parabens, Sulfates, or Phthalates. Great cleanser for anyone that has sensitive skin, I carry this line with me in my makeup kit to use on set because it seems to work well with every skin type. It’s a line I can really trust.
What it is:
A highly active cleanser with a trio of exfoliating acids and jojoba skin-polishing beads to revitalize skin.
What it is formulated to do:
AHA/BHA Cleanser revitalizes skin by gently exfoliating and polishing away dullness. Three exfoliating agents—salicylic acid, lactic acid, and glycolic acid—reveal younger-looking skin by loosening dulling buildup on skin’s surface. Jojoba beads polish away debris, dryness, and roughness while moisturizing agent sodium PCA attracts water to the skin to help it retain plumpness and elasticity needed to function as a strong, healthy barrier. AHA/BHA Cleanser is recommended for use several times a week as the step one cleanser in any Murad Age® Reform regimen. It is gentle enough to use very frequently through the week, and I like to use also when my skin feels a little dull or has some skin that needs to slough off. I have always been a huge fan of Murad, it performs and does what it’s intended to do.
What it is:
An effective skin polisher featuring the luxurious quality of a mask and the impact of a peel.
What it is formulated to do:
Refining Facial Polisher restores dull, tired skin to its former radiance through a combination of mechanical and chemical exfoliation. Skin becomes smoother and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are reduced due to the high concentration of lava powder and tropical fruit extracts. It improves the look of UV damage and further protects from sun damage, resulting in clearer, softer, healthier-looking skin.
What else you need to know:
Harnessing the transformative power of Hungarian moor mud and green microalgae to reveal a radiant, smooth, and more refined complexion, the Refining Polisher is also fast-acting for immediate results. This potent product has a striking brilliant green hue, laced with copper and exotic fruit extracts; it swiftly turns into a glistening sheer veil on application. It seems a little thick when you first use it, know that a little goes a long way and water and gentle circular motions will help to move the product around.
-Apply and massage in a circular motion from the nose area outward.
-As you buff, the polish will turn from a stunning emerald green to pearlescent grey, revealing Moor mud.
-Once applied, leave to set for two minutes to allow the mud to extract impurities before rinsing off with warm water.
-Newly exfoliated skin craves moisture, so it perfectly primes skin for a serum or moisturizer.
What it is:
Eminence Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser purifies your skin without stripping essential moisture for a clearer, more radiant complexion. Tea Tree oil neutralizes bacteria to prevent breakouts while astringent willow bark controls oil production. Lactic acid exfoliates while cucumber juice tones and shrinks pore size. A biocomplex of vitamins A, C, E, Coenzyme Q10 and antioxidants reduces the visible signs of aging. It is gluten free, cruelty free, certified organic, and paraben-free. I like the size of this cleanser and that it has a pump. Seems to be very convenient to use and have out on the counter.
What it is:
iS Clinical Cleansing Complex retextures your skin to give you a smooth, blemish-free complexion. White willow bark exfoliates and breaks up pore-clogging oil to boost cell turnover and tighten the appearance of your pores. Antioxidants derived from chamomile and centella asiatica heal skin damage and prevent free radicals from wreaking havoc on your complexion. This clear, lightweight cleansing gel is powerful, yet gentle enough for hypersensitive skin. Cleansing complex thoroughly cleanses the surface & pores of the skin without stripping essential natural oils. I feel like I gravitate towards this cleanser when I want that really slippery cleanser that foams easily, and leaves the skin feeling squeaky-clean.

I started using this primarily in the shower, and I LOVE it. It feels very gentle so I especially like it when my skin is feeling a little sensitive. It feels like you are putting moisturizer on your skin while you are cleansing.
That completes my round-up of my favorite cleansers of the moment. Some I have used for a long time, and others are new that I’m introducing to myself and you guys! Of course, if I wasn’t into it, I wouldn’t take the time to share with you, so I definitely you will find good luck with one of these choices above if you are in the market for a cleanser.
