Bronzed Eye. 3 Products.

…..because we are soaking up the last days of summer!  In LA it usually turns out that September is one of our hottest months, so it gets VERY confusing.  I love September and that was one of my favorite things about living both in Seattle and Salt Lake City: when it turns September, it actually starts to feel like fall!

Anyways, it’s Labor Day Today, and I wanted to film this quick tutorial about an easy bronzed smokey eye using only 3 products and it’s totally waterproof for the beach, the pool, or a long day doing whatever you please!

I’m obsessed with this eyeshadow from Shiseido and it has been on MAJOR REPEAT on a lot of my photoshoots and celebrity clients (can we say Rachel Zoe….!)  I did a similar look on her for a night look and she told me a billion people stopped her to ask what eyeshadow she was wearing!  It’s the perfect blend of colors and it goes on so easily.  You can build it if you want more depth, but it also is easy to blend with fingers or brushes…..your choice!

I also LOVE this clay pot waterproof eyeliner from Tarte.  I have it in a deep brown and it’s so beautiful.  It’s waterproof, creamy, and you can create a really strong line, or blend it out to a smudgy smokey eye.  The key to using this product is to make sure to do one eye at a time…. because once you blend it, it really sets.  If you wait too long it will dry and once it’s dry it really doesn’t move….which is amazing if you are looking for a long wear eyeliner!

I would totally recommend getting this brush that I’m using in the video.  It’s also from Tarte and its called the etch & sketch double ended bamboo liner brush.  (Longest name for a product EVERRRRR!)  It seriously makes applying eyeliner a BREEZE thanks to the angled tip. Seriously this changed the eyeliner game for me, especially if you struggle with your cat eye.  The way the brush is bent makes it so easy to get it flush with the corner of your eye.  I love applying that for my top eyeliner, and then blending with the other end.

Lastly, I used also from Tarte their Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara.  When going towards the water, it’s always a great idea to use a waterproof mascara! This mascara definitely lengthens and separates, and has a great brush that really gets into the base of the eyelashes.

As a little bonus, I wanted to show you what this same eye look does when paired with a red lip.  It’s a great transition into a night look, and still goes beautifully.  Both lip products are from L’Oréal.  The first light color is the La Lacque Lipcolour Sticks.  I’m wearing the color Coco-Laque.  The red is L’Oréal Colour Riche Le Matte Lipcolour Lipstick in the color Mad for Matte.  I love the size of the lipstick because it makes it easy to get into all the nooks and crannies of the lips so that you can not only line them with perfection, but fill them in to your desired color.  Such great lip products!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this makeup inspo, and of course you don’t have to be wearing this to the beach, it would look amazing as a day to day look all the time.  Can you believe how simple it is?  Sometimes less is more, and not overcomplicating makeup is the best way to do it!  You feel me?!  Have a great start to your week, and get excited…..lots of exciting videos coming with Fashion Week prep right around the corner!  XOXO
